Ian’s marketing and business background spans 5 industries — real estate, new home construction, web application development, online learning, and entertainment. His experience in marketing technology, home building and business operations have led to the custom tools and methodologies we use to help buyers and sellers chart a steady course to their successful real estate transactions. 

Ian got his first taste of the North Carolina coast when he attended Camp Morehead as a child. Later, after vacationing here as an adult, he began purchasing and managing vacation properties. He relocated to Beaufort, NC, from North Carolina’s Research Triangle Region to specialize in residential listings and investment properties along North Carolina’s flourishing coast. 

He currently serves on Beaufort, NC’s Historic Preservation Commission. He is former board chair and board member of North Carolina’s Museum of Life and Science, and served as an inaugural board member of the TechHome division of the Consumer Technology Association (formerly the Consumer Electronic Association). He developed DwellWell HomeConnect, the affordable home automation and security package, and created North Carolina’s first For-Sale-By-Owner website.
